What is Cardarine?

GW-501516, commonly known as Cardarine, is a unique drug similar to androgenic steroids, including testosterone, that is classified as a PPAR receptor agonist.  This class of drugs are linked to the SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator) family, but technically Cardarine is not a SARM.   It is a relatively new drug, with research beginning in 1992.  These drugs are touted as an aid for muscle building without many of the side effects of traditional steroids.

Cardarine has been found to be used in treatment for various cardiovascular diseases, as well as diabetes, obesity and other conditions.  It is highly effective in burning fat and enhancing endurance, and has also been proven to increase HDL levels (good cholesterol).  The effects of Cardarine are fairly significant and may be a welcomed addition to a stack for the performance-enhancing athlete.

One of the many benefits of using a PPAR or SARM is that they do not produce many of the negative side effects of traditional anabolic steroids.  Cardarine has no androgenic properties, and therefore will not virilization will not occur  in women. There is no conversion of testosterone to estrogen, therefore, no testosterone suppression or estrogenic side effects (water retention, bloating, gynecomastia, high blood pressure, etc.).  It is also not toxic to the liver making it an increasingly popular drug among many athletes.

What is the recommended dosage?

The most common dosage of Cardarine for most users (both male and female) is between 10-20mg/day.  It is important to start with a lower dose and work up to your desired amount.  It is not uncommon to see doses of up to 30mg, but studies have shown that higher amounts can be counterproductive.  It can be taken once/day, usually in the morning, as Cardarine has a long half-ife of 16-24 hours meaning levels will remain stable throughout the day.

What Does Cardarine Stack Well With?
Cardarine may be added to any anabolic steroid stack to enhance cardiovascular endurance and recovery while assisting in fat-loss.  This includes any combination of injectable/oral steroids.  Many users find it helps tremendously while using Trenbolone, as breathing issues during cardio can be a common side effect of tren; Cardarine seems to negate this negative effect while using Trenbolone.

SARM-only stacks are not uncommon for users who do not wish to use anabolic steroids.  In this case, Cardarine would stack well with Testolone (RAD-140) and Ostarine (MK-2866).
